The Delavan Community Sale, sponsored by the Delavan Education Foundation, was held Saturday, March 22nd on a sunny but brisk day with high temperatures of 45 degrees. A huge crowd gathered in downtown Delavan to watch ten auctioneers move through a large assortment of items consigned by nearly 100 different consigners.
Bidding was very competitive and lasted from 10 am to about 2 pm. Many local volunteers pitched in to unload items, serve as ringmen for the auctioneers, and process the sale items. The Delavan American Legion Post 382 served as sale headquarters and also served breakfast and lunch. Commissions charged on the sale items go to the DEF to be used to enrich school projects.
The DEF would like to thank the community of Delavan for making this year’s Community Sale once again a huge success!
